For example: If I had a Green group, a Red Group and a Blue Group, I would write down those three groups and say I classified them into these groups because of color. Green group is all green objects. Blue group is all blue objects. Red group is all red objects.
- You and your partner pick one book out of the three below each and then read quietly to yourself. Once you and your partner are done move on to step 2.
- Pour out the box of random objects.
- Classify them into groups.
- Label each group with a note card with the characteristics of that group written on the card. For instance If I had a group full of blue objects. I would label it Blue group.
- Take a photo of your groups with the labels next to them with the class camera.
- On a loose leaf sheet of paper write down the different groups you classified objects into any why you choose each group.
